Color Grid as Matrix

img_9178-1

For the Color Grid as Matrix project, it was required of me to create three different patterns using different shapes. For my project I used circles, squares, hexagons and stars. Then I printed it out and had to paint the design. At least half of the project had to be intensity change and Earth tones, so the bigger shapes in the design have the intensity change: the hexagons and squares. The stars and circles are dominantly primary, secondary or tertiary colors in the analogous or complimentary color schemes. When the stars or circles merge with the hexagons or squares, another type of earth tone is created.
