For class we had to make a phenakistoscope. To create this I had to do slight differences between a similar shape. I had to do twelve different sections to show the motion of these shapes.  The style of motion I decided to use was squash and stretch. The face I made squashes as it hits the edge and stretches as it leaves the edge. Then it restores itself to normal and continues the cycle again. The red square does the same; however, I added a little spin to it as well. The blue ellipse stretches as it falls and squashes as it bounces off the sides of the black area. I used colored pencils to lightly add yellow, black, red and blue to the phenakistoscope. A laser printer was used to cut it out.
